We are a registered medical provider for asylum seekers on IHMS (International Health and Medical Services) with no Medicare Card. Our staff work closely with medical practice to provide holistic services to our refugee and asylum seeker clients. Our social workers and counsellers also provide services to the refugee community.
All newly arrived refugee and asylum seeker clients and their families are able to access our services. Eligibility for ongoing care is determined at the initial intake assessment.
We will contact you to discuss a suitable time. Appointments are arranged after your Settlement Case Manager completes a Refugee Intake/Referral form with all information on your visa status, prior health documents, and urgent health issues.
All appointments are booked with your relevant language interpreter – free of cost.
All Refugee Health Nurse services are provided free of cost. Fees may be payable for services that are referred onto DPV Health six months after your arrival.
